A small city. A very full life.

All that variety.
A little closer together.

Coming from Boston, I was used to having a world of food around me. What I love about Portland is how much of that variety fits into such a small place. The next restaurant, a new neighborhood, a completely different kind of meal — it all feels within reach.

That’s how we treat life here: stay curious, try somewhere new, and make a little adventure out of going to dinner. We love traveling and discovering places together, but we love coming home to this corner of Maine just as much.

South Portland is where we’ve put down roots and bought our first family home. Our little one comes along for the adventures, and Nico is always happy to investigate the leftovers when we get back.

This guide comes from that everyday love of the place. We want to help you find your own favorites, and get to know the people making them.

Hollywood Vision, Local Heart.

I've spent my career at the intersection of high-end aesthetics and business results. From photographing Hollywood celebrities and working with global musicians to shooting videos for Marvel, I've helped legacy brands generate millions. Now, I'm bringing that same high-octane skill to the local businesses of Portland, Maine.

The Journey

A path that spans continents, industries, and eventually, a way home.

The Roots

Born in Kenya. Raised in Uganda, Canada, and Boston. A true global citizen from the start.

The Coast

Moved to Los Angeles as an adult. Drove deep into Media & Film Production, working with top-tier talent and studios.

The Pivot

Returned to Boston, then Uganda during COVID. A time of reflection and recalibration.

New England

Landed in New Hampshire, exploring the quiet beauty of the region, before finally finding home.

South Portland

Living and building in Maine for the last 3 years. This is where the roots go deep.

The Motivation.

"I moved to Maine 3 years ago and became a father 2.5 years ago."

When my son was diagnosed with autism, it really made me realize how hard it is to find the people you need—from the right doctors to the best home helpers, and of course, where to eat.

We had to rebuild our whole lives, and this directory is born from that struggle.

"Coming from a family of entrepreneurs and business owners, I’ve always believed in the power of community. This directory is my way of lending a hand to the next person moving here."

Building for Home Pros

Beyond dining, I've worked extensively with home professionals. I have a library of great content—home tours, finished work showcases, and campaigns I've run for home pros as social proof.
